FULLY HALAAL
The St James on Venice became a Fully Halal establishment on the 4th of May 2017. Taking over the Hotel and restaurant meant that everything needed to be changed to the Halal standards, thus suppliers, rules and regulations have been in place. We had to remove images from the web that goes against our regulations too. If you do spot an image that raises concern, Please do contact us so that we can rectify this.
WEDDINGS
The Fig and Koi Restaurant has hosted from engagement to small weddings. It is the perfect intimate wedding venue to tie the knot or even just for all the formalities that goes with the Big question.
CONFERENCE VENU
Being a small, private, peaceful venue we are ideally suited to host intimate functions for your special occasion. We can make a private dining room available for group functions. Please esquire with our reception staff or by email to functions@sjov.co.za for assistance in organising your event.
FULLY HALAAL RESTAURANT
As of May 2017 the hotel and restaurant was taken over by the same Muslim owned hospitality group that took over the very successful Antique Cafe.
FINE DINING
The Fine Dining All day menu recently launched, made quite a stir as one of the first All Day Fine Dining Halaal Restaurants in Durban. With Master Chef Byron in the Kitchen, it stands to reason why we are part of the South African Chefs Association.
